These are crashes, lane closures, work zones, and other events that MDOT considers active on state-managed routes (interstates, US highways, M-routes). Severity tags help you decide whether to reroute or wait.
What you can do
- Before a long drive, check this page (or MiDrive directly) for incidents on your planned route.
- For severe lane-closure events, allow at least 30 extra minutes — MDOT updates clearance time on MiDrive once a tow is dispatched.
